Biography

Tate Sutton is a yoga and meditation teacher. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Guatemala on the beautiful shores of Lake Atitlán. She is currently enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coach Training Program (graduating April 12, 2022), and can’t wait to share all that she is learning!

Growing up on Fish River, Tate is a native to Fairhope, Alabama. She graduated from Bayside Academy in 2009, and then went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Alabama. After that, she traveled to Panama interning at Kalu Yala, a sustainable community, and then to Indonesia volunteering with Peace Corps teaching English.

In May 2016, Tate had back surgery (lumbar discectomy) from a herniated disc in 2011. This is why the right alignment and developing core strength are very important to her. She works to prevent injury, but she also works with the injured.

In June 2021, she created Tate Sutton Health, a personal blog for all things health and wellness. Then ‘Thrive with Tate’ was formed – a wellness website for yoga and meditation, Ayurveda and holistic health, coaching/consultations, and more!
