A medical conference designed for the pediatrician rather than her patients.

The Women in Pediatrics Retreat is designed with you, the female pediatrician, at the center. We believe you have to take care of yourself before you take care of others.

The Seaborn, at Frenchman’s Reef

St. Thomas, USVI

We’ve thought of everything — from educational sessions that harness the power of networking with likeminded colleagues to an afternoon on a private catamaran. Your toughest decision will be whether to lounge by the pool or on the sand after your morning of personal development.

Plenary & Workshop Speakers

Our next-level speakers will impress you with their expertise and motivate you with their personal stories. These power-packed and energizing sessions will charge you up to tackle the day!

Thursday

Travel on Wednesday so you’re ready to go Thursday morning with our opening Plenary Sessions. Connect with your fellow female pediatricians and our all-star team of faculty to hone in on your goals and start envisioning your dreams. Enjoy the afternoon to yourself and then join us on the beach for a sunset BBQ.

Friday

Spend the morning in personal and professional development sessions and then be whisked away at lunch to spend the afternoon on our private catamaran. You’ll have an opportunity to snorkel or just enjoy the wind in your hair as you lounge onboard. Our chef will provide gourmet food and drinks and we’ll close the day out with a champagne toast as we watch the sunset and head back into the harbor.

Saturday

We’ll wrap up our work during the morning session and then enjoy a light lunch and spend the afternoon as you wish. In the evening, we’ll travel to a popular local venue for a farewell party. Plan to travel home on Sunday after our closing Plenary Session in the morning or take a few more days to relax — our group rate is good for three days before and after the event.

Personal & Professional Development

Choose from practice management topics like establishing your practice culture, reviewing and setting your prices, or managing staff or opt for an enrichment activity like an art, journaling, or meditation class. We’ll also have small group sessions for mental, women’s, and financial health topics, too.

Subject Matter Experts

With topics like leadership and practice management tailored for the female pediatrician, women’s health, and self-care, our engaging speakers will move you with personal stories and practical advice to motivate you to get closer to your goals.

Networking & Fun!

From a BBQ on the beach to an afternoon on a private catamaran charter, you’ll find plenty of ways to relax and connect. Want to catch some rays? Grab a spot by the resort pool or beach. Of course, we have a few parties planned for you, too, and we’re pulling out a few new stops as well!

Testimonials

This was an amazing few days! It really helped me to find my center again — haven’t seen it for a long time!

–2021 Retreat Attendee

All I feel and know is that I belong to our WIP community. I am so proud of myself to show up as me to share vulnerabilities in person without any fear for the first time in my life. Thank you for asking and thank you for listening.

–2021 Retreat Attendee

This was so much better than expected. Very needed and appreciated. It was just the right mix of learning, thinking, connection and rejuvenation.

How do I book my hotel room?

We have a hotel room block at The Seaborn, at Frenchman’s Reef, as well as overflow rooms at the sister resort, The Westin. As soon as the hotel’s booking site is available, we will post it here and contact attendees. In the meantime, you will indicate your room preference during the registration process for priority room assignment.

Do I need a passport or international plan for my cell phone?

Nope! We chose St. Thomas because it’s part of the USVI. That means your cell phone will work here just like it does at home and US citizens don’t need a passport to visit.

Can I bring my family to this retreat?

We’ve planned this event as a time for YOU, without the usual distractions of home, so we encourage you to indulge in a little alone time and treat yourself to a getaway. To encourage bonding and networking among our attendees, all retreat events and social functions are limited to registered attendees and vendors only.

What’s included?

Our conference registration includes all retreat activities and meals. The only extras you’ll want to plan for are your hotel stay, airport transfers (if needed), and incidental meals or snacks. All items listed on the agenda are already included in your registration fee.

Who is this conference for?

Our conference is designed with female pediatricians in mind, especially those who are looking to become better leaders, make more meaningful connections, and discover their ultimate why.

I don’t know anyone else who is attending. Should I still attend?

Absolutely! Many women have attended our previous events without knowing anyone beforehand. We guarantee you won’t leave without making new friends, though!

When should I arrive and depart?

Please plan to arrive by Wednesday event and depart no earlier than Sunday morning. However, our hotel group rate is available three days before and after our event so consider taking advantage and extending your stay to treat yourself to a little extra R&R.

Will CME be provided?

At this time, we do not plan to offer CME.
